The Downside To Meditation
One of the great things about regular meditation, for me at least, is that it provides a clarity of focus to my inner monologue that can otherwise be lacking. There's a lot bouncing around this skull, from emotional tones to unfinished academic treatise, regrets, the tatters of stories.
You know, just like everybody else's brain.
The downside is that clarity can pull into focus just how messed up certain--a lot of certain--parts of my life are.
Parts that I am not always at liberty to discuss.
The clarity makes me want to discuss them... but self-preservation runs deep.
