OTHER: multiracial folklore is the conclusion of folkLAB’s first season and the “in Our Voice” series. OTHER was created from scratch, in just two and half intensive weeks of rehearsals or “Lab”, by lead artist Kelsey Robinson (Quantum Theater and Bricolage alum, KST Freshworks Resident) and a cast of exclusively multiracial artists (Jason “JGo3000” Gordon, Diane Ghogomu, Jalina McClarin and Brenden Peifer).
OTHER aims to redefine multiracial identity through personal narratives, group myth and deconstructing learned biases. The ensemble has created an immersive experience that speaks to who they are and ask the audience to consider their perspective on race.
The performance has interactive elements, requires some light walking and runs about an hour and half in length with no intermission.
