Persephone Rising will be an intimate, immersive event incorporating theater, dance, live music, interactive art installations, fire sculpture, seasonal dishes, and craft cocktails. Audience members will be travel from the underworld to a lavish feasting hall where they are welcomed as attendees at a yearly banquet thrown by the goddess Demeter in honor of her daughter Persephone’s return. As with many family parties, this one is full of rivalries and old grudges, but also lots of love and a desire to enjoy time spent together…and of course this party is filled with divine mischief and magic.
Food and drink provided by Wade’s of Smyrna, fire sculptures by Flamewerx, and live music by Dr. Anonymous and When Ukuleles Attack.
