Serenbe Playhouse is proud to present the musical SHENANDOAH, starring American Idol Winner Taylor Hicks and Broadway and X Factor finalist Rachel Potter. The story of one family’s struggle living in the Shenandoah Valley during the American Civil War leaps to life in a hidden field in Serenbe, transporting you to the rolling hills of Virginia.
A theatrical journey of heartbreak and hope will erupt out of an actual Civil War reenactment, including soldiers, canons, horses, and an all-star cast of singers/musicians — all fighting for Freedom & Love!
Our site will open 7:00pm so you have time to enjoy the Civil War-era camp. A recreation of a Civil War battle will occur at approx. 7:45pm and lead directly into the start of the show. We do not recommend arriving before 7:00pm.

Our show is performed outside in a non-traditional setting; we recommend wearing comfortable shoes as it is a short walk from parking on uneven and sometimes muddy terrain. Additionally, we encourage weather appropriate attire — specifically coats, hats, gloves, and even blankets.
Seating will be stadium style in chairs, on a first come first serve basis. Accessibility cart available by request. Please notify box office and parking attendant.
