Over a three-week period in January 2018, internationally-acclaimed artist Patrick Dougherty created one of his majestic Stickwork sculptures in Pease Park, utilizing locally-harvested materials including depression willow, ash, and ligustrum. The installation will remain on display in for several years, sparking the imagination of old and young park patrons and passersby, until Mother Nature runs its course.
Pease Park Conservancy encourages the community to experience the sculpture by weaving through it and getting close to the piece, but the group asks the public not to disturb the sticks and saplings.
