Inspired by a Susan Sontag short story that gave voice to so many caught up in the AIDS epidemic, this new work features a group of people caught up in our current crisis: the opioid epidemic.
A group of friends (Elizabeth Addison, Meghann Perry, Kevin Brunton) interact with hospital personnel (Eugene Massey, Renée Singletary) as they navigate a hospital waiting room. This public art + public health project invites conversations about our wide range of experiences in and around opioids, chronic pain, trauma and hope. We invite you to join us in ending a silence that leads to death.
