The immersive train never stops running. This week in immersive, Columbia University School of the Arts held their annual Digital Dozen — Breakthroughs in Storytelling awards. No Man’s Sky announced an upcoming VR version, where players will be able to explore the game’s procedurally generated deterministic open world universe, which includes over 18 quintillion planets. PSVR announced that its revenue was nearing $2 billion. Meanwhile Magic Leap’s Game of Thrones experience is hitting select AT&T stores across the nation. Color us very jealous.
Over here at NoPro, we experienced living in someone’s mouth, the worlds of our favorite scary movies, the world of a 1980s soundtrack, and the reality of the human experience. And interviewed a host of creators working on fascinating projects: a multi-sensory WWI experience in VR, a moving concert in an abandoned subway tunnel, a David Lynch-inspired housewarming party, and so much more.
