‘In Another Room’ at the Overlook Film Festival

The immersive beast is awake and alive 🐉

This week in immersive news? A whole, whole lot! Hollywood Fringe Festival tickets went on sale with a big slate of productions and a ton of demand; Oculus dropped their standalone headset Oculus Go at F8, Facebook’s Developer Conference (check this week’s podcast for Noah’s thoughts); and Oculus also dropped the enormous news that they’re working on an immersive theatre-VR project with live actors in the vein of Sleep No More meets hit video game Journey. (Yes, you read that right.)

Plus, we at NoPro published a whole host of video interviews with immersive creators from the Overlook Film Festival! And there’s even more to come with new LA/NYC newsletters this weekend and another North America newsletter coming mid-next week.

Meanwhile, our Slack continues to grow by leaps and bounds — come join our community of immersive creators and fans!

ON THE PODCAST THIS WEEK

Director Spencer Williams (Walk The Night) and music producer Andrew Heringer have created a unique music experience in the form of The Guest & The Host: Make Music, which will be debuting alongside the Hollywood Fringe Festival this June in LA.
