‘The Navigator’ by Meow Wolf, unveiled earlier this week at LEAPcon

Magic Leap, Meow Wolf, The Yarnies, and so much more

No Proscenium and Everything Immersive This Week is brought to you by:

It’s been another stupendous week in immersive land! L.E.A.P Con, Magic Leap’s conference in LA, showed off what’s to come from the mysterious mixed reality company, including but not limited to a Porg-centric experience and an intriguing collaboration with Meow Wolf around a mixed reality sculpture intended for their upcoming Denver experience. (Also it appears that ML knows someone stole their PHILTR and they definitely want it back—more on that below.)

It’s also possibly our BIGGEST week ever at NoPro with a Q&A, SEVEN new reviews on the site, and TWO podcast episodes—one with Shine On Collective out of LA and one a New York Comic Con ARG debrief with some friends!

Did we mention the seven new reviews?!

Are you going to the Room Escape Artist meetup in NYC next week? Or maybe Indiecade or Spatial Reality in LA this weekend? Or one of the many immersive theatre shows or haunts around the country?

We’ll see you at the show!

No Proscenium depends upon the generous support of Meow Wolf and people just like you. Want to support the immersive revolution? Start today by pledging $1/month:

ON THE PODCAST THIS WEEK

Shine On Collective’s writer-director duo Anna Mavromati and Marlee Delia join host Noah Nelson in LA to talk about their latest work Echoes in the Dark, a 2018 update of the Frankenstein story, and how their collaboration has evolved over the last two years of work.

Plus: we touch on a bunch going on in LA right now, like the amazing Spatial Reality gallery exhibition, Delusion, Creep LA: Awake, the upcoming workshop from Tara O’Con and Marissa Neilsen-Pincus, and much much more.

AND A BONUS EPISODE!

It features our own Kathryn Yu, Michael Andersen of ARGN.com, and Blake Weil who was Michael’s man on the ground for NYCC. The gang talks about all the ARG action at New York Comic Con—Unknown 9/Leap Year Society/Institute for Higher Knowledge and, of course, Magic Leap’s ARG (The Yarnies) which is starting to make some waves thanks to its appearance at this week’s L.E.A.P. Con.
