The circus is coming to town! The circus is coming to town!
No Proscenium and Everything Immersive This Week is brought to you by:

Hey folks! It’s been a while week, hasn’t it? We finally got some more details around micro-amusement park Two Bit Circus’ imminent opening in Los Angeles. Our friends over at Whisperlodge made their Netflix debut. And the fine folks over at Meow Wolf announced both their first dark ride in Denver and launched their DIY fund.
Here at NoPro, we reviewed a bunch of shows in and around Los Angeles as well, spoke to one of the creators behind the magic and puzzling communal experience 49 Boxes, and hit an all time-high with the number of experiences on our NYC Now Playing page: 58!
Plus, our friends at LEIA have a new crowdsourcing effort around event insurance, looking to demystify the process for immersive creators and producers in LA and beyond.
More on all this… below!
No Proscenium depends upon the generous support of Meow Wolf and people just like you.

ON THE PODCAST THIS WEEK
The 49 Boxes is a singular puzzle based storytelling event, the latest incarnation of which focuses on the life of Floyd G. Thayer — one of the most famed illusion creators of all time.
Host Noah Nelson sits down with Michael Borys, the information and story architect of The 49 Boxes to talk about the origins of the show and his career as an untraditional storyteller.
Look for announcements about the next set of experiences from The 49 Boxes this week.
