We don’t know about you but while we might be a teensy bit jealous of the folks at Burning Man right now (given that there’s a Third Rail Projects pop-up on the Playa), we’re also basking in the white hot heat of immersive theatre show announcements, all piling in this week.
There’s rumblings from Creep and The Speakeasy Society in LA as well as VR festivals happening in LA and NYC, plus new immersive experiences in Boston, Las Vegas, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, and more. (We would go to all of them, if we could. Honest to God.)
And here in NoPro we reviewed Bricolage’s escape room collaboration with the ScareHouse in Pittsburgh, the Great Houdini Escape Room as well as We Players’ Caesar Maximus in San Francisco, refreshed our NoPro Glossary of Terms, and grabbed Kathryn, Anthony, and Noah together for an After Dark coast-to-coast episode of the podcast.
In other news, Venice Film Festival is in full swing with their Venice VR showcasings, it was leaked that Apple bought a company specializing in lenses for AR glasses, Indiecade announced the first wave of creations you’ll find at the yearly festival this October (which includes NoPro fave Escape From Godot), and Sandbox VR showed off the their free roam, multiplayer, interactive VR experiences which will be rolling out in SF, LA, and NYC very soon.All this and more, just below…
