Legend has it that, in 1968, a secret organization called The Nowhere Collective attempted to draft a ‘Blueprint’ for a future Halifax, which they hoped to realize by 2018. It never happened. We don’t even know if the legend is true.
Guided by a phone app, you search through the city of the present, considering it’s past and witnessing a series of encounters that evoke the city of tomorrow. In the process, you can be one of the 1000 authors of a New Blueprint for the city’s future.
Find up to 12 hidden performances, including an intimate encounter in an apartment, one-on-one discussions with characters, a candid conversation in a church, and an interaction on a street corner seen through a window. Sometimes it will be hard to tell where the show ends and real life begins.
At its heart, This is Nowhere is a theatrical game about the past, present and future of the city.
