Reflecting Motion created by Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics and presented by CommunityAmerica Credit Union will be the largest sky sculpture ever on display in Kansas City. Spanning approximately 12,000 square feet (larger than two basketball courts), the silver form will spill over the architecture of Union Station and collect in a shady oval shape over the newest Crossroads Arts District green space – Haverty Family Yards at Union Station.

This piece is the latest in Patrick Shearn of Poetic Kinetics’ Skynet Series. The artwork is designed to evoke the natural phenomena of swarming found in synchronized movements of flocks of birds, schools of fish or insects in nature.

Content Advisories: There is a sidewalk that surrounds Haverty Family Yards and the majority of Reflecting Motion, but it is up to each person if they want to maneuver a wheelchair through the grass to be directly underneath the art installation. Please note, a portion of the installation is completely above a concrete area for those that do not want to maneuver into the grass.
