Precinct 187 casts the audience as the grand jury in a murder where they’ll have to examine the evidence and decide whether to indict the suspect or not.
Press Release Follows
Based on a true story, PRECINCT 187 is an immersive, site-specific, partially interactive theatrical production, written and adapted Lawrence Meyers (“Porn Rock”, “Dark Arts”, “Picket Fences”, “The Pretender”, “The Outer Limits”) and directed by Damien Gerard (“The Tension Experience”, “The Willows”, “Delusion: The Blue Blade”).
A terrible murder has occurred in the community. The case was caught by a rookie detective in an isolated, forgotten precinct. As pressure mounts to solve the case and find justice for the victim, you are sworn in as a Grand Juror to determine whether or not to indict the only suspect.
Yet when you arrive to examine the evidence, the homicide unit has pulled the inscrutable suspect in for one final interrogation…a last, desperate attempt to extract a confession.
The stakes are high. A city, its citizens, the Mayor, the squad lieutenant, and a grieving mother demand resolution and justice.
PRECINCT 187 thrusts participants into a true-life whodunit, the type that only occurs when a cloud of evil settles over a city, and we wonder who will light the way through…
This intimate production will have a maximum of 11 participants per show. Performances will run 75–90 minutes.
