“Dorothy had the right idea. Find the broken people. Promise them what they want. Take everything from them. And they’ll thank you for it in the end…”
LOS ANGELES (April 16, 2019) — Ripped from the pages of the Frank L. Baum’s “Land of OZ” novels, The Speakeasy Society’s newest piece throws audiences into the middle of an alternate reality game (ARG) inspired experience that takes place in real time and evolves according to audiences’ responses.
The fate of Kansas is in jeopardy. Queen Ozma intends to open the largest portal ever created, large enough for her Armed Militia to conquer our world. With magic slowly returning, both sides of the conflict have a few last surprises up their sleeves. You hold the Key to the fate of Kansas and OZ. What are you willing to sacrifice?
Chapter 10: The Portal is the epic conclusion to The Speakeasy Society’s episodic saga The Kansas Collection. You are in the center of the action as Patchwork and the Queen’ Armed Militia return for their final showdown. As the chapter unfolds, join the characters on every twist and turn of this whirlwind production staged throughout the historic McCarty Memorial Christian Church in West Adams.
