It’s a classic film noir tale: the hardboiled detective returns to his old watering hole to avenge the underworld murder of his brother…and rekindle an old flame. There’s whiskey-soaked dialogue, sexy molls, a hooker with a heart of gold, and more gunplay than a Tarantino flick.
But these shady characters ain’t gangsters. They are something worse….
Majestic Rep continues its Summer Season with an immersive staging of Adam Szymkowicz’s twisted dark comedy: CLOWN BAR. “As soon as you walk through the door, you’ll be transported to a different world,” said Artistic Director Troy Heard. “A world where a drink served funny just might include a rubber chicken instead of a twist of lime.”
