FIGMENT is a free participatory arts event that celebrates creativity by challenging artists and participants to find new ways to create, share, and dream. FIGMENT NYC will take place on Roosevelt Island at Lighthouse Park. For one weekend only, Roosevelt Island will be transformed into a large-scale collaborative artwork, where nothing is for sale and everyone is invited to create and connect. This year we have over 120 artists participating in a variety of art installations throughout the weekend.
Expect street theater, costuming, sculpture, inflatable art, dance, performance art, installations, social experiments, mobile art, workshops, games, community building projects, arts & crafts, sound art, bands & DJs, lectures & seminars on themes of participatory art & culture, and anything else you can imagine!

Note: The event is rain-or-shine. If the forecast calls for rain, be prepared to hide — or dance — under porches, arches, and umbrellas while the clouds pass.
