Four motley college sophomores learn how much you have to lose when you try to get big. Gain!, which takes place in an actual weight room, follows these young men as they struggle with definitions of masculinity that are as old as the ancient Greeks.
Like most, these men started lifting to feel better about their bodies, but their journey together fractures as each battles his perception of masculinity. Reaching back to the Greek body of 400 B.C., Gain! endeavors to reveal what’s behind the steroid-fueled strong man of 2018.
