When the world is mad, does embracing madness make you sane? Created as part of Dysfunctional Theatre’s summer residency on Governors Island, this version of The Bacchae is a uniquely feminist take on the Greek tragedy. Expect an all-female cast of singers, dancers and actors reimagining the Euripides’ drama about the war between freedom and control.

Performances are approximately 30 minutes long and may be too intense for young children.
