“The Group” is a 3-hour immersive, highly participatory theatrical experience examining the grief process in a support group setting with magical realist elements.

This is not a therapeutic group to process current or anticipatory grief, but an artistic exploration of your relationship to death and dying using fictitious relationships.

A group of strangers meet every week over the span of one year, accompanied by their deceased loved ones. Those who attend should be prepared to do some improvising within a small group of people who are also improvising.

Improvisation will be structured, specific, and suitable for beginners. A 45-minute character and relationship creation workshop is included in the three-hour run time, as well as a 10-minute debrief.
