In partnership with the Allegheny Land Trust and Empire Builder Productions, City of Play opens its 2019 season on the Vernal Equinox with a new Fantastic Adventure in the forests of Allegheny County. The Adventure begins with a hunt for buried treasure.

Sometime in the 20th century, a crate, belonging to the global explorer H.P. Witherspoon, was allegedly hidden somewhere in Allegheny County. City of Play has recently acquired new information about the lost treasure’s possible whereabouts. On Saturday, March 23rd, we will conduct an all-ages search party with members of the public. Please plan to be outside for several hours and dress accordingly. Digging tools will be provided by City of Play.

Content Advisories: Please plan to be outside for several hours and dress accordingly. Experience includes physical stress, sustained labor, long outdoor exposure, and interactions with nature. All players must sign This General Liability Waiver, prior to receipt of the treasure map.

The hunt takes us into a forest on trails with limited mobility and uneven ground, finally leading us to a task of digging up buried treasure.
