LĒR is an adaptation of Dub Shakey’s King Lear, performed as only the Reformers can. In some way’s it’s the culmination of our body of work to date, tracing a direct ancestry through THE TURN, HAUNTED HOUSE, THE VAN, and YES/NO/GOODBYE. If you’re a fan of us, a fan of innovative theatre experiences, a fan of Shakespeare, or a newcomer to the theatre, this show is for you.
LĒR is not a play, but an experience — one only THE REFORMERS can offer. The culmination of that experience is, of course, the play itself, but the story is also being told across multiple mediums, including an ongoing meta-narrative on our Facebook page, a three-part podcast series (first episode here) and a groundbreaking album of original music (the upcoming FRIDAY ANIMALS by THE REFORMERS), composed by 3 time Drammy winner Richard E. Moore.
