WONDER is unlike anything OUT LOUD Theatre has created in the past. Part art installation, part performance art — this piece is truly a unique and fully immersive experience inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland. “You quite literally are offered an experience to step into and through this world,” says Artistic Director, Kira Hawkridge. “No matter your relationship with the source material and its many interpretations and adaptations that are readily on hand to explore, we encourage audiences to be prepared to expect the unexpected. WONDER is OUT LOUD Theatre’s authentic meditation on what it means to make the ordinary extraordinary, to engage with our imaginations, and to push our own creative and artistic boundaries beyond what we thought was possible. We are taking our definition of immersive experience to the next level and inviting our audiences to challenge any preconceived notions they might have of what live theater “should” and ultimately can be.”
