Salt Lake City’s Sackerson is back with an all new show that uses Downtown SLC as a backdrop, giving the audience a cinematic view of a blossoming romance.

Imagine stepping into a movie. You’re in charge of the camera. It’s your choice how near you want to be to the love story. Will you keep your distance, or be bold and go in for a close up?

Sackerson’s latest production immerses five audience members weaving through downtown as they follow actors falling in and out of love against the backdrop of Salt Lake City. There aren’t any cameras in this show, but the actors voices are broadcast straight to the headphones of the audience.

HINDSIGHT, by Morag Shepherd, is a collaboration with director Alex Ungerman. “Alex gave me the structure and I let the cityscape inspire the story,” says Shepherd. “It’s an unlikely couple that you root for and laugh with. You want them to end up together.” With an audience of just five per show only a select number of people will find out if they do.

“There’s something magic when you’re walking and across the street you watch two people fall in love. This show lets you in on their story. You’re going to look at downtown differently after seeing this show,” says Dave Mortensen, producer with Sackerson.
