“The Tower Is Us (A Prisoner’s Cinema) is a hypnagogic transmedia performance combining video game and live dance-theater to decode an urgent message in an unspoken language. In this interactive, immersive performance, audience participants are thrust into a world of beings without verbal language. They must attempt to learn the system of gestures that the figures employ to communicate with each other — as well as the regular people with whom they have begun increasingly making contact in our own world, with a motive and message that remains a mystery.

Participants are highly encouraged to bring fully-charged smartphones to the performance, which they will use alongside other tools that will help them piece together the clues and overcome the language barrier to make a connection.
