The galaxy awaits and the chase is on! This year, Journey will rocket you into a magical starscape and take you towards that final frontier. The adventure coincides with a celestial event that will be visible only at the end site. Space-themed costumes are recommended!

This will be the twelfth edition of Journey to the End of the Night in San Francisco. We invite you and your friends to take over the city streets in the name of play, dash down hidden alleys, encounter astrological strangers, and change how you experience the city!

Journey to the End of the Night is a free street game played across cities around the world. Players sporting colored ribbons will run through a series of checkpoints scattered throughout the city, while avoiding being caught by chasers. For one night, drop your relations, your work and leisure activities, and all your usual motives for movement and action, and let yourself be drawn by the attractions of the chase and the encounters you find there.

No public transit, no bicycles, no skates, no cars, no taxis. You may only travel on foot, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Online pre-registration through Eventbrite is required. We will start handing out materials at 5pm at UN Plaza, and the game begins at 6pm. You must be there before the game starts to be able to play!

As always, Journey is free to play, but donations are highly appreciated to help us cover material costs.

Contact Level: Light (Business/Acquaintance). Players tag each other, and performers at checkpoints might touch a players hand or arm.

Content Advisories: All guests must be ambulatory. The event is not wheelchair accessible. There are some steep hills and steps.
