The Immersive Great Gatsby casting is able to accommodate the vast, varied and wonderful pool of actors that the world has to offer. We invite applications from the global majority and aim to squash any stereotypes that have previously existed within the story of ‘The Great Gatsby’.
Our parameters exist only in gender, where we ask for all male character to be played by actors who identify as male and female characters to be played by actors who identify as female.
The roles require strong skill sets in dance, although we find that many of our actors are able to pick up and learn the choreography the show requires.
The show also requires actors to sing on multiple occasions, with a finale song that includes complex harmonies. An ability to learn and deliver such levels of music is important.
Immersive theatre experience is highly desired for any role, the skill set required for the show is not taught and therefore experience is highly valuable.
