E3W Production’s ‘Where the Others Are’ headlines an awesome week of show announcements and news,

Last week we got the forecast: an early Spring, and judging by what’s happening in LA, that is very, very true. Check it:

On MONDAY a new E3W Productions show goes on sale. It’s called Where the Others Are. If you’re not familiar with E3W it’s probably because their shows sell out nearly instantly and usually have very low throughput: just three guests a piece for their In Another Room series. This time out it is two guests at a time. Listen: if you’re in LA, you want to be online at 10AM Monday when the tickets go on-sale. Full stop. Don’t miss your chance.

We also have Elsewhere at the Madcap Motel, a new 17,000 sq. foot installation piece opening up in the Arts District in March. Plus The Pod is currently running, Safehouse ’82 is coming back, and Night Fever opens this week. And that doesn’t even take into account The Industry’s Sweet Land, which opens this month as well. What month is it again?

Up in SF Immersive Design Week is coming at the end of this month, and for those of you who are into online work, Keight Leighn has an all new piece: A.I.U..

Plus we’ve got the HERE Summit at the end of March, back here in the Southland. This week we added Sarah Ellis, Director of Digital Development for the Royal Shakespeare Company, to the speaker lineup. There’s still 3-Day badges left, so it’s not too late to join us at the center of the immersiverse this Spring.

ON THE PODCAST THIS WEEK

Last week we were fortunate enough to have two of our staff at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, exploring all the XR goodies at the New Frontier.

XR correspondent Will Cherry and our host Noah Nelson trade notes on a very exciting class of 2020. The verdict: VR storytelling is maturing rapidly alongside the tech, thanks to pieces like The Book of Distance, Scarecrow, Atomu, and All Kinds of Limbo.
