Los Angeles: LA Stage Alliance AB5 Info Session

A collaboration with Arts for LA and Californians for the Arts and is presented in partnership with The MusicCenter.

Californians for the Arts Executive Director, Julie Baker, will present an AB5 information session, including discussing current amendments and expected updates to the bill.

Arts for LA will lead an exercise on crafting an effective advocacy narrative and what steps individuals can take. There will also be time for a forum and community engagement activity.

Additionally, while this event is specific to theatre artists, everyone is welcome, no matter their creative career or opinion on AB5. This event will be moderated by LA STAGE Alliance to ensure it will be a productive and respectful dialogue.

The top 5 nominated VR films, will be the finalists selected by the Positron Selection Committee in consideration for this category and will be presented to a special jury at Cannes XR, to be announced soon. The nominees will have the opportunity to screen their work at the Positron XR Cinema at Cannes at the beautiful new Cannes XR venue, and all finalists will be in consideration for a worldwide distribution deal by Positron. The winner of the finalists, as selected by the jury, will be presented with the Positron Visionary Award and will win a Voyager VR chair and complete Voyager package delivered to their studio or office (a $60,000 value)

TCG’s Rising Leaders of Color (RLC) Program

TCG’s strategic plan includes a multi-year Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Initiative (EDII) to transform the national theatre field into a more equitable, inclusive and diverse community. Emit wants your young audience focused interactive work!

Emit Theatre seeks submissions for new, interactive plays for young audiences. We are accepting original scripts that have not been previously produced, as well as concepts for devised pieces, from NYC-based artists. This production will be performed for public audiences in Fall 2020 and subsequently toured to schools and community groups. The selected applicant will be compensated with a stipend.
