What. A. Week. It’s that time again: time for No Proscenium’s weekly immersive news roundup!
The news this week was dominated by the release of the Oculus Quest, a 6 degrees of freedom, untethered consumer-friendly virtual reality headset that hit shelves this past Thursday with titles like Vader Immortal; Job Simulator; Virtual, Virtual Reality; Bonfire; Moss; Beat Saber; Superhot and so much more. Our founder Noah J. Nelson did a little unboxing on our YouTube channel.
What else happened? Secret Cinema announced that their next immersive experience will be based upon Stranger Things. Meanwhile: the opening of Galaxy’s Edge in Anaheim looms on the horizon (check this week’s podcast for a sneak peek), as does Overlook Film Festival in New Orleans, and the start of Hollywood Fringe Festival. Wow!
