Our Trace of Time is a dining experience that celebrates the act of sharing over a meal by communally painting the passage of time. Hosted by Cafe con Libros, curated and produced by Flower Shop, creator Emily Kao leads pairs in a 30-minute meditation on connection. Guests sit across from each other at a custom-made floor table, are offered a selection of coffee, tea and pastry, and are prompted to engage in meaningful conversation. Over the course of the experience, traces of objects and movement are quietly recorded beneath the table cloth. At the end of the meal, participants reveal their co-created artwork and are invited to take home their “trace of time.”
