It’s another mad busy week here in Immersive Land… and we’ve still got all the news out of Disney’s Theme Parks tomorrow. We’ll be discussing all that on our first edition of the Everything Else livestream this Monday at 7pm Pacific on the NoPro YouTube channel. (And we’re working on the audio issues that plagued the first Everything Immersive live stream. If anyone is an OBS whiz, drop me a line.)
Speaking of new channels, we’re going hard on Instagram these days. First: Briana Roecks has jumped on board as our LA social media correspondent. She’s going all out on her own instagram account for us — including on IGTV where there’s interviews stacking up — and we’re archiving and cross posting that on our Insta.
Our profile there is also where you’ll find a massive archive of the TAKEOVERS that we’ve been doing for months now. Immersive creators around the country have been taking over our Insta-stories — usually a couple of times a week — and documenting their work behind the scenes. If you want to get a first hand look at what’s going on in Immersive Land around the country there is no better resource. Follow our account to keep up with the latest, and help grow the audience for all things immersive!
Oh, and I was on the INVERSE GENIUS podcast this week. Check it out!

ON THE PODCAST THIS WEEK
This week Jonathan Pedigo and Alex Leff, the co-creators of Bar of Dreams Los Angeles, join host Noah Nelson to talk about pranks, comedy, and creating interactive experiences. It’s a fun conversation that goes in directions you don’t quite expect.
Plus: we check in with Scout Expedition Company about The Nest, the tickets for which went ON SALE today! And there are LIMITED DATES available already.
Note: while the interview with Jeff & Jarret of Scout is squeaky clean, there’s some explicit language in the Bar of Dreams interview, which starts about 19 minutes in.

The Ode at Pint’s End
Chicago’s Birch House preps an immersive folk tale
The Ode at Pint’s End, written by Lauren N. Fields and Janie Killips, is an epic folktale that features traditional Irish music and new music by Janie Killips.
As they celebrate a full year on dry land, three Irish sailors recount the story of a shipwreck that changed their lives and the secrets they found at the bottom of the sea that still haunt them. Their tale unfolds in increasingly magical ways with the help of the mystical Merrows, the sailors’ wives, and the audience. The Ode at Pint’s End explores the journey from ambition to wisdom, the weight of our choices, and how we learn to let go.
