
IndieCade — the international festival of independent games — is going virtual for its 2020 event. The #AnywhereAndEverywhere festival will feature nine days of 24-hour programming on October 16–24 and the organization is currently crowdfunding to put on this year’s digital fest. The event will take place across multiple platforms including Twitch, Zoom, Discord, and more.
Plus: IndieCade’s 2020 Nominated Games this year includes a number of works across augmented reality, virtual reality, immersive theatre, and alternate reality games.
Tickets to attend go on sale September 28.

IndieCade Announces 2020 Nominees & Lineup for Virtual #AnywhereAndEverywhere Festival
Santa Monica, CA (September 23, 2020) — IndieCade is going virtual for its 2020 #AnywhereAndEverywhere global online festival, featuring nine days of 24-hour programming on October 16–24. The 2020 festival lineup will include gameplay, exhibitions, conference sessions, workshops, discussions, Twitch streams and more, in addition to a virtual showcase of this year’s nominated titles that highlight top achievement across indie gaming. IndieCade is an independent, volunteer- and sponsor-supported event dedicated to cultivating innovation and artistry across indie game development, and to fund this year’s festival and future events, organizers have launched a Kickstarter to help build a virtual architecture to showcase top interactive media and emerging indie developers. IndieCade #AnywhereAndEverywhere festival highlights include 50 hours of live streamed gameplay and audience participation streams; multi-day tournaments; the return of Iron Game Designer and Influences panels; a TIGSource Retrospective focused on Derek Yu (of “Spelunky” and this year’s Trailblazer Honoree); and more. IndieCade is open to all indie game developers, players and fans of all ages, with three affordable pass pricing tiers including free public passes for general admission.
