In celebration of the One-Year Anniversary of Andrew Pearson’s Dearly Beloved event comes a reimagining of what was once a solo performance, now a fully realized quartet performed by Darby Epperson, Daurin Tavares, Sadie Yarrington, and Jacob Byrd.
The Ballad of Lady M sets up a fictitious wedding in which our bridal party grapples with heteronormative ideals on love, partnership and gender. The work borrows imagery from Lady MacBeth’s Out Damned Spot speech and the music of Alanis Morrisette, rerecorded by LA based queer artist The Hound.
