The Unmarked Door, founded by film composer Rolfe Kent (Dexter, Sideways, Up In The Air), will host a Time Travel Cabaret charity event for 826LA. The Time Travel Cabaret is a night full of whimsical performances and interactive entities — visiting from the expanses of known (and unknown) time. A Cabaret Stage Show is sandwiched by immersive elements that invite guests to communicate with their past and future selves. Other interactions include riddle-games, projection mapping, and live performances on the patio.
826LA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students’ creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. The 826 network was founded in 2002 by internationally-acclaimed author Dave Eggers and award-winning educator Nínive Calegari. You can visit the L.A. chapter via the Time Travel Mart on Sunset Blvd in Echo Park.
