Written, directed, designed, and choreographed by Zach Morris in collaboration with the company, Behind The City is Third Rail Projects’ most intimate work to date.
New York City serves as the stage, setting, and metaphor where couples discover unexpected, dreamlike environments and narratives hidden behind closed doors. The work is a rumination on love, getting lost, and the memories that we imprint upon the city and it imprints upon us.
Behind The City is presented in conjunction with The Macallan Speakeasy, a pop-up destination that serves as an intimate gathering space to celebrate exceptional artists and provide a portal to carefully curated, innovative cultural experiences. The Macallan Speakeasy will be produced and performed at Town Stages where the Behind The City immersive experience will commence and end each evening.
