We are celebrating Siobhan O’Laughlin’s triumphant artwork of trauma, healing and intimacy following her 400th show. This is an opportunity to see Broken Bone Bathtub’s only NYC show of 2018. In a rare occasion, guests will be able to dine with the artist following the performance. The menu will consist of the most hearty and comforting of soups: potato leek (vegetarian), winter borscht (meat) and hot crusty bread to sop it up.
Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres to proceed, cake to follow, wine throughout.
Broken Bone Bathtub is an immersive theatre project taking place inside a bathtub, in an actual home.
After a serious bike accident, a young woman musters up the courage to ask for help, and shares her story, exploring themes of trauma, suffering, human generosity and connection. The audience takes on the role of Siobhan’s close friends; not only listening but sharing in their experiences, and assisting the cast-clad artist in the actual ritual of taking a bath.
All of our site-specific bathtub locations are secret, and the addresses will be revealed upon purchasing a ticket.
