Immersive and interactive experiences are more than a trend; they are the future of entertainment, whether it’s live performance or virtual reality. It is my goal to build a team that is trained in the necessary techniques to create experiences where the audience participant becomes the protagonist of a larger than life narrative. I hope you’ll be part of that team! This workshop will give a one-off teaser of interactive performance techniques in preparation for a series class in July!
Christy Casey was a member of the Interactive Deep Dive, a thinktank dedicated to developing interactive performance techniques and experiences that place audience participants in the role of protagonist. During that time she helped write, produce and direct the production OpenMind, a collaboration with Meow Wolf during SXSW that was featured as an 8-article series in The Verge and called “one of the most exciting and forward-thinking pieces of immersive work” at SXSW.
