For one night only on October 4th, Cynthia von Buhler’s provocative new graphic novel about real-world chimeras will come to life in secret NYC temple. Described as Eyes Wide Shut crossed with The Island of Dr. Moreau, von Buhler says her goal is to entertain, excite, and enlighten guests while questioning the morality of modern science in creating a new animal species with human DNA.

On Friday, October 4th, guests will attend a gathering at a secret temple in Manhattan where they will find themselves guests of the revolutionary Pig King and his ensemble of fellow gene-spliced hybrids who have escaped an experimental lab. Stepping into the pages of von Buhler’s decadent and provocative novel, guests will take part in esoteric ritual ceremonies featuring eclectic music, provocative dance, anthropomorphic escapades, daring performances, and morality tests unfolding continuously across three floors of interactive rooms. The evening features surreal hors d’oeuvres and unlimited specialty cocktails.

Come dressed in creative formal attire — the sky is the limit! We will be provide you with a unique mask or you may bring your own. Please wear tuxes, suits, suit-coats, gowns, cocktail dresses or dressy slacks. Long capes are always welcome, too. If you enjoy dressing to kill, this is the time to do so. Cravats, bow ties and ties are preferred, but not necessary as long as you wear a suit coat and a dress shirt.
