We know, it’s been a minute. But sometimes there are naps.

This week we’ve got Miami, Seattle, LA, and The Void all in the mix.

Below you will find Staff Picks and Most Anticipated. All linked for your convenience.

Miami

Staff Pick of the Week: Miami Motel Stories

Taking a varied jumble of slices of the cities history, Miami Motel Stories tempers occasionally fraught subject matter with good humor and a sense of love for the city. Special recommendation to the glamour track, which ranges from Miami as honeymoon capital to Andrew Cunanan’s slaying of Gianni Versace. — Blake Weil, NYC Curator

Seattle

Staff Most Anticipated: Where the Others Are

How can we not be hyped for a new E3W Show? The answer is that we can’t. The sold out initial run starts this week, and people are already counting on an extension. I’m checking it out on Sunday, and it’s great knowing there’s a treat at the end of my week. — Noah Nelson, Publisher

Staff Pick of the Week: The VOID: Jumanji: Reverse the Curse

The evil Haka’ar has stolen the Scepter of Se’payu containing the Red Jewel of Jumanji! I and a classmate attempted to get the Scepter back at the interactive, thrilling, hyper reality experience at The VOID and … we succeeded! The two of us also were able to complete a few of the bonus coin challenges although we did lose one life because I wasn’t sure how exactly to talk to animals in VR. Better luck next time, I suppose? And maybe, just maybe, I won’t have to be Kevin Hart the second time around. — Kathryn Yu, Executive Editor
