Set in 1880’s Tuscumbia, Alabama, this moving story depicts the early life and education of Helen Keller, a blind and deaf girl struggling to communicate with the people who care for her most. Follow Helen, her frustrated family, and passionate teacher Annie Sullivan through the beautiful Borden Building in Raleigh’s Fred Fletcher Park.
This innovative immersive-style production of William Gibson’s classic play takes audiences throughout the Keller home as we engage in the intimate struggles and relationships of young, blind, and deaf, Helen Keller. The show is staged at the Borden Building in Raleigh’s Fred Fletcher park and audiences will move though the footprint of the space following this moving story true story of frustration, determination, and hope.
