Part of our team coverage of Ready Player One’s immersive marketing.
This year’s SXSW immersive activations and experiences were NO JOKE. From HBO’s Westworld Experience, to Meow Wolf’s multi-day ARX, companies were bringing their immersive A-game.

So, it should come as no surprise that Warner Bros. would follow up their impressive San Diego Comic-Con BLADE RUNNER 2049 activation, with an all out, retro-futuristic (Is that a thing? I’m making it a thing…) spectacle.

From the nostalgic 80’s ephemera, to the giant movie props, the barcade setting was the perfect visual primer to prepare people for what was to come upstairs…

We had the chance to speak with Adam Arrigo and Aaron Lemke, co-founders of TheWaveVR, about their collaboration with HTC Vive and Warner Bros. to create this next-level, international, socially engaging, Virtual Reality dance party.
