HBO

HBO is taking you into the world of Watchmen this year at San Diego Comic-Con, with a unique augmented reality experience from Thursday, July 18 — Sunday, July 21.
Fans will get to experience an interactive, in-world experience, and receive custom SDCC exclusive Watchmen enamel pins, created by Yesterdays. The event will be open Thursday, July 18 — Saturday, July 20 from 10AM-8PM daily, and again on Sunday, July 21 from 10AM-6PM.
The activation will be taking place in two areas of the Gaslamp, which will both be first come/first serve. You can stop by either Petco Park Home Plate Gate (at Gwynn Drive & Hoffman Way, adjacent to the shuttle bus drop-off and close proximity to the footbridge) or at the parking lot on the corner of Sixth Avenue and Island Avenue.

Walk through immersive experiences featuring Pokemon: Detective Pikachu and Shazam! Opens Wednesday at 5 p.m. and runs through Sunday, outside the Omni Hotel, 675 L St. Free.

Pokemon Detective Pikachu
Experience the magic of Ryme City in an immersive walk-through pop-up based on the hit film Pokemon Detective Pikachu.
Guests will be able to explore the city and capture Instagrammable moments including the neon cityspace, Ryme City marketplace, film prop displays, and infinity room, and more! Fans can win prizes while having the opportunity to take photos with multiple characters from the film including Detective Pikachu himself!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Experience
Thursday, July 18-Sunday, July 21 at Gaslamp Square (between the Convention Center and Hard Rock Hotel in front of the Tin Fish Restaurant).
Det. Jake Peralta and the rest of the Nine-Nine are headed to San Diego Comic-Con this summer, swapping coasts in search of new recruits! Comic-Con attendees can immerse themselves in the newly designed Brooklyn Nine-Nine experience, testing their skills for a chance to join the infamous 99th precinct. Attendees will enjoy a series of hilarious and unforgettable tasks in order to make the squad, all while surrounding themselves inside the show’s most iconic setting. Fans will also enjoy exclusive content, giveaways, and several opportunities to capture photos and videos in and around the activation.
Superstore Cloud 9 Pop-Up
Thursday, July 18-Sunday, July 21 inside the Hard Rock Hotel main lobby.
NBC’s Superstore is popping up in San Diego to offer attendees the chance to beat the heat and step into the Cloud 9 Department Store, located inside the Hard Rock Hotel main lobby. The pop-up will offer exclusive content, a custom photo opportunity and a “customer service” desk to host exclusive NBC comedy-branded giveaways, while supplies last. The Good Place Diner — The Interdimensional Hole of Pancakes
Thursday, July 18-Sunday, July 2 at Maryjane’s Diner at the Hard Rock Hotel.
NBC is transforming Hard Rock’s Maryjane’s Diner into the Interdimensional Hole of Pancakes, as seen in The Good Place, inviting guests into the memorable diner that exists between realms. For one weekend only, the portal to the Interdimensional Hole of Pancakes is opening up in downtown San Diego where guests can enjoy a themed meal, experience a mind-blowing Time-Knife and feel what it’s like for Michael to be truly powerless. EPIX

The Pennyworth Experience will be located in the Oxford Social Club within the Pendry San Diego (435 Fifth Ave). Upon arrival guests will enter through the coat check and will be asked for the password for access to The Scarlet Rope, a high-society lounge filled with gambling, drag performances and sounds from a 1960’s band.
Once in The Scarlet Rope lounge, guests can play a hand of black jack, take a picture with a glittering cabaret dancer and enjoy the live entertainment before heading to the Library where butlers will be on hand. Members of the mysterious Raven Society will be roaming throughout the space, trying to convert anyone who listens by enticing them with gifts and showing off the more luxurious aspects of membership. Behind the Library, guests will discover the Raven Society Headquarters in which they can unearth some of the mystery behind the organization while listening to a live macabre poetry reading. After taking in the more posh aspects of the Raven Society, visitors will then be led into the Dungeon where the darker, more unpleasant elements of the association will be revealed.

AMAZON PRIME VIDEO EXPERIENCE

The Amazon Prime Video Experience will celebrate the new Amazon Original series The Boys and Carnival Row, as well as the upcoming fourth season of The Expanse, with an immersive 60,000 square-foot activation located across from the San Diego Convention Center. The Amazon Prime Video Experience will be open from Thursday, July 18 through Sunday, July 21, with a special preview day open to press on Wednesday, July 17.
Located on the corner of MLK and 1st, fanboys and fangirls will be drawn in to the Amazon Prime Video Experience by the sight of a 40-foot tower adorned with giant LED screens that will be playing scenes from The Boys, Carnival Row, and The Expanse. Comic-Con attendees will also be treated to live, show-specific performances taking place atop the multi-level tower.
Once inside, attendees will receive collectible gold and silver coins which they can use to further explore the activation. Fans can begin their day covering up the crime scene of a superhero kidnapping at the Audio Visual shop where Hughie works on The Boys.
On the opposite end of the space, a Rocinante spaceship is positioned that will take adventure-seekers on a United Nations peacekeeping mission to a newly colonized planet seen in The Expanse.
Guests can also discover the Carnival Row universe in which humans and exotic creatures coexist before entering The Forbidden Lounge, a neo-Victorian decorated hideaway venue, to enjoy a special performance.
Amazon Prime Video collaborated with LG within the series activations to provide a premiere viewing experience for attendees.
After exploring the shows, guests can escape the summer heat and relax under a tented awning with refreshing beverages and a selection of mouthwatering bites, including Carl’s Jr., which will provide burgers on-site for press and fans as part of The Boys campaign. Cosplayers can even find a Cosplay Photography Corner within the walls of the Amazon Prime Video Experience, where a lifestyle photographer will be onsite to take professional portraits as digital takeaways.
FOX “ANIMATION DOMINATION” FAN FARE
Thursday July 18-Sunday July 21 at the Children’s Museum Park & Children’s Park, 200 W. Island Ave.

Fox is going all-out at Comic-Con with a pop up amusement park inspired by its Sunday night “Animation Domination” programming block. Centered by a 70-foot-tall Ferris wheel, the fair features rides, carnival games and augmented reality content promoting The Simpsons, Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers, and the upcoming Bless the Harts. There’ll also be food and prize giveaways for attendees, plus appearances by cast and producers from each of the shows (follow Fox on Twitter to find out when). It’s free, and open to the public.
The Fan Fair is open 12:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday July 19 and Saturday July 20, and 10:00 AM — 1:00 p.m. on Sunday July 21. Note that Thursday-Saturday, select activations will close at 6:00 p.m.
FX FEARLESS FORUM
Thursday July 18-Sunday July 21 at Hilton Bayfront Park immediately southeast of the San Diego Convention Center

Anchored by the American Horror Story: 1984 — Face the Darkness activation, FX Fearless Forum will also feature the What We Do in the Shadows Lair, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Sunscreen Zone, and the Archer O2 Station. There’s also a nightly light show. Produced by FX Design in collaboration with BARTKRESA studio.
Fans can pre-register for a RFID badge, required to gain entry, on FXSDCC.com both in advance and on-site. Registration & badge collection is required to check into and participate in giveaways and other activities.
It goes down from 12:00–6:00 p.m. Thursday July 18 through Saturday July 20, and from 10:00 a.m. — 2:00 p.m. on Sunday July 21.
COMEDY CENTRAL

Comedy Central is celebrating the 20th anniversary of South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut at San Diego Comic-Con.
The network is taking over the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Dr. #120) with a South Park activation on Thursday, July 18 — Sunday, July 21. This free, no-badges-required activity will let fans play mini-golf on a 9-hole course themed to the show, and purchase limited edition South Park shirts, with a new shirt available each day.
This year, the Comedy Central Booth #3729 is being transformed into Yankerville, where fans will get an exclusive first listen to crank calls from the new season. They’ll also be able to take photos with some of the Crank Yankers puppets.
THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE POWERED BY AT&T

The largest collection of Batman-related costumes, props, and vehicles is coming to San Diego Comic-Con. In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Batman, DC and AT&T announced THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE POWERED BY AT&T, a massive, interactive exhibition that includes the largest-ever collection of Batman-related props, costumes and vehicles. The immersive pop-up museum and gaming-centric installation will transport fans into the crime-fighting world of the Dark Knight and will be open to the public at the Comic-Con Museum in Balboa Park at 10 a.m. PT from Thursday, July 18th through Sunday, July 21st. No SDCC badge is required to enter this free exhibition.
THE BATMAN EXPERIENCE, custom-built by AT&T with DC, will include activities on all three levels of the Museum’s staggering 68,000 square feet space. A sneak peak of the exhibition will be available to attendees at THE GATHERING, a special ceremony inducting Batman into the Comic-Con Museum Character Hall of Fame on Wednesday, July 17 at 5 p.m., the first time a comic book character has ever been given that honor. Tickets are available at www.ccmgathering.org.
AMC DeadQuarters

DeadQuarters, the official fan zone of The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, will feature a curated walk through of settings from both series, including the Winter Escape from the Season 9 finale of “TWD,” as well as an elaborate treehouse and plane crash site inspired by the Season 5 storylines in “Fear.” Fans can pre-register here to beat the lines. Located on Martin Luther King Promenade, in front of the Hilton Gaslamp Hotel (4th Avenue and L Street, across from the Convention Center), DeadQuarters will be open to the public Thursday, July 18th through Saturday, July 20th from 11:00AM — 6:30PM; Sunday, July 21st from 11:00AM — 4:00 PM.

STAR TREK “JEAN-LUC PICARD: THE FIRST DUTY” EXHIBIT

CBS hosts the 3rd annual gallery takeover in the Gaslamp with am exhibit titled “Jean-Luc Picard: The First Duty.”
In celebration of Patrick Stewart’s return to his iconic role, the exhibit will showcase original props, costumes and other artifacts tracing Picard’s life and Starfleet career. Items on display include his cherished Ressikan flute, the legendary Picard family album, his Starfleet uniforms, models of ships Picard captained and all that remains of the “Borg Queen.” The gallery also features exclusive first looks at costumes and other items featured in the upcoming CBS All Access series Star Trek: Picard.
Visitors will have the first chance to purchase exclusive Star Trek: Picard merchandise, pick up a limited pin of the Picard family crest, and participate in other giveaways.
The gallery is located at Michael J Wolf Fine Arts (363 Fifth Ave.), and will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Comic-Con from 11AM — 9PM and on Sunday from 11AM — 5PM.
The exhibit does not require a Comic-Con badge.
THE TWILIGHT ZONE EXPERIENCE

You can enter another dimension not only of sight and sound, but of mind, at the Step Into the Twilight Zone Experience at San Diego Comic-Con at the Interactive Zone at Petco Park. The event will be open Thursday, July 18 — Saturday, July 20 from 10AM-6PM, or on Sunday, July 21 from 10AM-5PM. Unfortunately, pre-registered tickets have sold out, but there will be a GA line.
JOHN WICK SCAVENGER HUNT

This year at San Diego Comic-Con, keep your eyes peeled — because the John Wick Soundtrack Scavenger Hunt is coming.
Like a plot line right out of John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum, John Wick has been spotted in San Diego and it’s up to you to catch him and claim your bounty. On Thursday, July 18, follow the tweets from Varèse Sarabande Records that will lead you to three different locations inside and around the convention center. You’ll collect a John Wick related item from each location, and once you have all three, share a photo on social media with all three items and yourself, using the hashtag #HuntForWick.
On Friday, July 19, one lucky, random winner get to meet Tyler Bates, the composer of the John Wick trilogy, and get a personalized sign vinyl of John Wick, as well as signed sheet music.
VIKINGS BATTLE AXE TRAINING

Stop by Throw It San Diego (339 Seventh Ave) on Saturday, July 20 from 11AM-9PM to test your axe throwing skills, as well as your Vikings knowledge. You’ll also feel inspired with temporary Norse tattoos.
Special guests and series star Alexander Ludwig will be stopping by from 2PM-3:30PM, with Kathryn Winnick appearing from 3:30PM-5PM.
