After delighting guests in Las Vegas, Denver, and Grapevine, TX last year Meow Wolf is bringing back "interactive performance spectacle" Phenomenomaly, only this time the Flickerwerm migration will be happening across the entire Meow Wolf multiverse, appearing in every currently open Meow Wolf location this summer.

We talked with the creative team behind Phenomenomaly on the podcast last year, and you can learn more about this year's event in the press release below.

MEOW WOLF EXPANDS PHENOMENOMALY, AN INTERACTIVE PERFORMANCE SPECTACLE, TO ALL FIVE OPEN EXHIBITIONS

From June 5 through August 9, Meow Wolf invites guests to accompany the return of the rare Flickerwerm migration - in Santa Fe, Las Vegas, Denver, Grapevine, and Houston

Santa Fe, NM (April 29, 2026) — Interplanetary tourists. The natural rhythm of alien rituals. Incandescent crescendos of connection. A rare cosmic migration that, for reasons known only to the migrators, cannot occur without a willing crowd.

Meow Wolf’s Phenomenomaly, an interactive performance spectacle about that migration, returns this summer and expands to all five of its currently open exhibitions: House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe, Omega Mart in Las Vegas, Convergence Station in Denver, The Real Unreal in Grapevine, Texas, and Radio Tave in Houston. Last summer it ran in two cities. This summer, from June 5 through August 9, every open Meow Wolf experiences the migration at once. Admission is included with any Meow Wolf ticket or Portal Pass, at no additional cost.

Phenomenomaly is part immersive theater, part art party, part glow worm migration (naturally). An extraordinary cosmic phenomenon unfolds in real time inside every exhibition: a vibrant, interactive story with new mysteries to uncover, layered over the surreal environments guests have come to love. Live theater, dance, puppetry, and roaming character work unfold on a continuous loop. Each performance runs approximately 90 minutes, repeats multiple times per show day, and reshapes itself to the distinct weirdness of its host space. No two shows are ever the same.

A group of interplanetary tourists known as the Lil’ Bigg Miss Fitts (Domino, Plotzini, Wavelynn, George, and Lintley Foldsworth) move through each exhibition as if they are guests themselves, before revealing their mission: to help trigger the rare migration of the Flickerwerms. Alongside the returning Keepers, a masked, nudibranch-inspired order who drift through the worlds like curious children operating a ritual they only half-understand, they recruit guests to locate objects and complete small actions, turning the experience into a collaborative, roaming quest. The sequence builds toward a central gathering where live performances activate the moment, culminating in a large-scale finale as towering Flickerwerm puppets emerge and lead a procession through the exhibition, inviting guests to join. This season, the Flickerwerms seem changed, evolving as they reemerge and bringing new energy to the story as they pass through each space in a brief, celebratory migration.

Each city features a rotating cast of local guest artists performing alongside the core company, so no two markets share the same show. Returning national collaborators include costume designers Basqo Bim, Iggy & Andy, Kate Major, and Monsters of the Underworld, with Sam Johnson of Colossal Collective returning as Puppet Project Manager, Designer, and Fabricator. Full local artist lineups will be announced on each exhibition’s Phenomenomaly page.

Phenomenomaly is built to be experienced together. Guests can explore, play, and make memories inside a one-of-a-kind immersive art experience, then round out the visit with limited-time Phenomenomaly specialty cocktails and special-edition merch, including apparel and collectibles available only while the migration is in town.

It’s okay if you can’t pronounce it. You just have to experience it. Phenomenomaly runs June 5 through August 9, 2026, with schedules by city as follows:
